It was a puzzle to me what was meant by magazine titles such as the “Shooters Bible,” the “Trout Fisherman’s Bible” and the like, I had no notion of the reference. Since then I have made up for that. At the time of my salvation I purchased a King James Bible and read it from cover to cover over the next thirty days and have since read it through many times.

In the course of my new life there have been many ups and serious downs. Raised in the sixty's and seventy's when the Christian foundations of our nation were being challenged and rejected causing a severe struggle in the moral certainty of many young people. There is a lot to be said for anyone who ended on the side of the moral high ground of God’s word.

The realization, after reflecting upon my years, that one thing the Church is missing are true pastors, elders to feed the flock. Older men who have faithfully live for and served God who can pass on their experience and knowledge to the younger men. Men who studied and meditated in the Scriptures for several decades, not just sat in Sunday school once or twice a week.

Men who served God in their everyday lives, faithfully witnessing and preaching at home, at work, on the street, when and wherever they were.

Now as an elder myself I am attempting to pass on whatever knowledge, understanding, and wisdom God has granted me.
